Personal Statement

My name is Felix Huebner. I am a student-athlete at Christ School located in Arden, NC. I am a junior born in 2007, a member of the Asheville City Soccer Club USL Academy, and the starting goalkeeper for my club team, ECNL-RL U17 Highland Football Club, located in Asheville NC. Additionally, I play starting varsity goalkeeper for the Christ School Greenies. I am 6’5, 220 lbs, and have been my club team’s full-time goalkeeper for about 7 years. I am a very hard working student, achieving straight A's in all honors and AP classes, with a 4.5 GPA. I recognize that being a stellar student and classmate off the field is just as important as my performance on the field. It is my dream to both attend a high-ranking academic institution and play soccer at the highest level.

ActivitiesVolunteer Work CS Varsity Soccer Camp Counselor – Helped teach young kids to play and enjoy the beautiful game of soccer. VRQ – Helped veterans trying to get back on their feet by serving food, cleaning their campus, and socializing with them. Asheville Habitat for Humanity – Helped out with constructing houses for those who aren’t fortunate enough to have one, things like mixing cement, cutting wood, digging holes, putting up scaffolding, and more. Clubs / Extracurriculars / Jobs Esports Club – Invited to play Valorant for the team, helped teach others how to play as well as helped us to the playoffs. Detailing Business – Started a car detailing business last year, over the summer I detailed many cars, and marketed myself to my city, being able to gain enough money to create a website and build a mobile rig. I am still scaling the business and have a ton of clients lined up in the coming weeks. Ben and Jerrys – Started working September ’23, still work there now. Miscellaneous I enjoy cars (working on them/driving them), gym, snowboarding, hiking, swimming, traveling, hanging with friends, cooking, and building things (computers, racing simulator, my car, mobile detailing rig)
