My name is Braden Runyon and I am a 5' 11" 170 lbs. midfielder. I began playing soccer at 6 years old after spending many hours on the sidelines watching my brother play soccer. I have played on my school’s Varsity soccer team since eighth grade, two times earning 1st team all-conference. This past Fall 2019 season, I also earned a spot on the 1st team all-state team for 2A, as well as being named Most Outstanding Player in my conference (Foothills Athletic Conference). This fall, I was named one of the Captains for my team. Also, I play on the 03 Premier Catawba Valley Youth Soccer Association Boys soccer team. I am a regular starter on both teams because I strive to pass the ball well and be a difference maker on the field. I always try to get my teammates involved and look for passes and plays to be made. I pride myself on having an exceptional work ethic, being coachable, and ready to absorb any information that would make me a better player. I view myself as a leader on the field, as shown by my captaincy of my school varsity team. I am carrying a 3.9 GPA, which places me on the Honor Roll and am always striving to better myself academically.
