Eli Simonette '22 Recruiting Profile

As a player I am team oriented and focused on the game plan to get the win for my team. Below are some details about me as a player and a student. I have also included the contact information for my current coaches if you would like to discuss my abilities with them.

I am a very hard working forward/midfielder, with good speed, good touch and great vision on the field. I am equally dominant with my right and left foot and can effectively support my teams game plan as right-mid, left-mid, or forward/striker. I am not a player who waits for the ball to be magically dropped on my foot. I hustle to make good runs, check back in to the midfield to create space behind me, be an extra option in the midfield, and help defensively creating the double team when a teammate has contained the player with the ball. I have played almost every minute of every game since joining the varsity team 3 games into my freshman year.

I do not get tired and don’t give up. My fellow players recognize me as a natural leader, and a man of character. They are willing to follow me in every practice and match. I understand that there is more to soccer than winning, there is hard work, teamwork, unity, integrity that are all just as important as the score at the end of the game. I will get the job done, but will not sacrifice character for the sake of a win. I have the work ethic to back it up which makes me the player that everyone wants to have; coachable, honorable, and skilled.
