Hi my name is Gwen O'Brien! I am a 5'5" left footed player from Newport, NC and will graduate in the class of 2021. I play with the 03 ECNL Wilmington Hammerheads. I have a 3.5 GPA and scored a 21 on y ACT. I am a versatile player who plays both defense and offense.
I've experienced individual and team success within high school athletics for both soccer and track: starting every game for HS Varsity, awarded All Conference, going undefeated in conference play, individual and team placement in the 1000m, and a member of the state champion 4x800 team. Throughout my soccer experiences, I've learned how to manage my time between school and soccer well. I’ve also learned that success can't be rushed.
I am very interested in Forensic Science/Criminal Justice majors. I've always been fascinated in solving crimes and helping others. I believe a career in the Criminal Justice field will be very rewarding and something I will be very successful in. But I have grown up loving art and might major in something art related. I have taken interest in Graphic Design but not completely positive yet.
I am looking for a program that will challenge me athletically and academically to develop into the best version of myself.
