Being runner up in the state of North Dakota for soccer as a freshman is the highlight of my high school career so far. However, I feel I grew into better student-athlete when our team didn't make the state tournament this past year. I have my last year to look forward to in the fall of 2019. The experience of not making it to state, has pushed me to re-focus my own efforts on making and winning the state title next year. In order to win the state championship I am focusing on my development as a solid defender and defensive midfielder capable of competing at the college level.
I am fortunate enough to have been on some of the best teams to come through Shanley soccer winning 2nd and 3rd in my first 2 years. I learned the value of teamwork, communication, effort, commitment, leadership and sacrifice this year when we didn't make the state tournament. I am looking for a program that will be a good fit for me academically as well as athletically. I believe that I not only have the talent needed to compete for a college team, but the character, leadership, work-ethic and communication skills needed to make an impact on your team.
