My outlook on things can be summed up as best in the following snippet I had written for my English Anthology:
I am a thinker, who like to take things in.
I see things in a step by step process.
I hear people when they mutter under their breath.
I see a soccer field, long and lined, with a goal post in view.
I pretend not to care if I think someone is being rude.
I feel the rush of adrenaline as I kick the soccer ball into the goal.
I touch the ball with my hand before I set it up for a free kick.
I worry that I will not be able to play soccer in college.
I understand things most people do not.
I dream of playing professionally.
I try to stick to what I know.
I am a thinker, who like to take things in.
My approach to school, relationships and life is very similar to what I feel and observe on the soccer field. It has served me well thus far, and kept me grounded in my belief of developing strong relationships in all aspects of my life. Continuing this growth in my college career is another chapter that I am both anxious and excited to experience, and will do it to the best of my ability.
