Carson Young '22 Recruiting Profile

Ever since I was very little I've found an interest in the competitiveness of soccer. In my eyes, every day is a day to improve the skills that I have been blessed with. Ultimately, my dream is to make soccer a lifestyle and play professionally. I am willing to do whatever it takes that will make me a better player and achieve that goal. I have aspired to play at the collegiate level for most my life.  I understand that playing at such a high tier is a once in a lifetime opportunity, and I want to take full advantage of that. 

    As a goalkeeper, I have very strong and quick hands. I am able to reach most shots whether low or high and am able to get to the ball quickly and without hesitation. I have good foot skills and can open up play easily by far and accurate goal kicks and punts. I am very vocal on the field and am a team leader. I strive to lead by example.  I make it a priority to be very coach-able and the hardest working player I can be, knowing that this will make me better on and off the field. 

    In the classroom, I am determined to study hard and maintain a sustainable GPA. I am involved in theater, video media, and I volunteer at my church and other non-profit organizations. I take academics very seriously because I know it will help determine the rest of my life.

    I have aspirations to attend a college where I can push myself on the field and in the classroom. I am open to all options and want to ultimately find the right college match at the highest level of competition possible. I hope to become a great role model to all my peers and make my family proud.
