Niko Kapustin '22 Recruiting Profile

Soccer means much more to me than a sport, or hobby. The game has taught me sacrifice, commitment, and what it means to be a leader. As I continue growing with soccer, I have enjoyed the challenges and opportunities of being an MLS Academy player with the Columbus Crew SC for over 4.5 years. As I now return to my former and original club, Ohio Premier ECNL, I will take my valuable Academy training and experience to embark on new development opportunities. 

This same drive for achievement and success shows in the classroom, and in my community. My family has also instilled in me the importance of character, which contributes to my overall work ethic that I would bring as a student-athlete. I am looking for a high-level program that holds a prominent academic focus, while also being the right fit athletically. Respecting an appreciation that athletics are a significant educational component of my future undergraduate experience. I am confident that I possess the characteristics and talent to compete on a college team, but also the drive, competitiveness, and leadership skills that it takes to be an immediate influence on your program. As an elite multi-sport athlete and a high-level competitor, I know I can bring forth a meaningful contribution to your team!
