June 2021Personal Statement
Soccer has been my passion my whole life. I have been playing for 10+ years, and have big aspirations of playing at the collegiate level. I play club soccer for Ohio Galaxy Elite 64, and attend high school at Kings High School. I mostly play center attacking mid, but also can play at forward, outside mid, or center mid. I have been a varsity starter my freshman, sophomore, junior and senior years, where we finished 3rd in the ECC all three years. On top of that, I received the All-Academic Conference award my freshman, sophomore, junior, and senior years, and All Conference award my sophomore, junior, and senior years. This year I was named as 1st team all District, and selected to play in the all-star game.
When it comes to playing, I like to be the playmaker, and create goal-scoring opportunities for myself and my team. I have great foot skills and vision, where I am able to put my team in good scenarios. I also to like to be a leader, and help organize my team during games. I always will bring a completive mindset and play my hardest every time I step on the field.

- Very good job at camp Evan. You have a good sense of how to play the game and have a solid touch. You will want to play a little quicker to be effective at the next level. The sooner you make your decision, the sooner you can move the ball/take your shoot/ make a penetrating pass etc. the game is all about speed, the higher up you go. Your technical ability will be good enough but you can always soften up your first touch and locate the mid-line of the ball, so that your passes are all hit cleanly. It seems like you get in the weight room on a consistent basis. The biggest difference at the college level, is that the game is a lot more physical and the players are much stronger. You stand out as very strong and use your body well to muscle players off the ball. Of course, you can definitely work on your physical speed. Your possession game is good and you have a good understanding of working the ball in tighter spaces. You are also a good finisher.
