My name is Dylan Thomas and I live in Brampton, Ontario Canada. I am in Grade 10 and I attend St. Edmund Campion where I am actively involved in their Athletics program - including the CSL Futsal League, of which my team won last year. Also and quite notable, Campion has dominated boys' soccer in Ontario for half a decade, winning the last three Ontario Federation of Schools Athletic Association (OFFSAA) titles and four of the last five, so being at a highly athletic school with award winning coaches will provide many opportunities to build my experience, versatility and to make me more competitive player in addition to the extraordinary club team that I play with.
While I have maintained a B average over the years, I am determined and driven to achieve an A average, which is totally in my reach because of my strong work ethics and self-discipline. I am also known to be a great leader, team-leader and problem-solver. I enjoy challenges and take pride in opportunities at school and within my youth group to make a difference in the community. I am also well liked by my teachers who note that I have a great attitude in general and towards school.
I start as a center defensive mid on my club team Burlington Bayhawks '99 - and we are currently in first place in our division. I am a versatile player who also excels in other positions in the mid-field. On the field, I am known to be a supportive player, with strong attack and control of the ball. My physical endurance and speed are also quite exceptional. I play with heart, tenacity, and with a team-player approach. The Bayhawks are a winning and competitive team and being a part of this club has allowed me to raise my game and personal standard. The honor of competing in the Ontario Summer Games this summer also provided a high level of competitive play and experience that has honed my skills and tenacity. Last year while playing for Brampton Blast we won the OYSL Championship.
Another recent and remarkable opportunity I had with my club team, Burlington Bayhawks was travelling to Germany in Spring 2014. While there we trained, worked on skill development and played with highly competitive teams in Germany and had opportunities to see what a future of playing soccer in Europe would be like. This experience was life changing and truly enhanced not only my game, but also my motivation and perseverance to play soccer at a higher level.
On and off of the field, I am a leader and team-player. I play with heart, commitment and passion. I am dedicated to the game of soccer in all it's glory and I'm relentless in my pursuit to be the best player that I can be. I am also humble and grateful for the vast opportunities that have contributed to my success thus far. I am looking for a school where I can truly be an asset, a fierce competitor and reliable contributor. I look forward to honing my skills and competing with other players who are also passionate about the game. I am committed to being an exemplary student and player who displays extraordinary character in all areas. I am grateful for the opportunity of you reviewing my profile and considering me for your school. I will represent your school with pride and strive to be a well rounded player who not only cares about the sport of soccer, but also about excellence, leadership, academics and community.
