My name is Blake Rosener, I am a well-rounded and determined student-athlete. I am currently 16 years old (11th grade) and am looking to play at the NCAA level. I am a very vocal full-back and have proven to be a leader as I was chosen to be one of the captains on my club/travel team. My club team is currently a mid-table team in the CSL (Central Soccer League), which is a competitive league with teams from across Ontario. In 2019, I was invited to try out for the Ontario provincial team, one of few from Northern Ontario. I play as a very offensive left-back, often generating goals and assists playing with my midfielders down the wing. I also play a CDM role, using my footwork and vision to generate goals and assists. I am very determined to be the best I can be, which is why I train every day with my club team, high school, and/or alone. In 9th grade, (2019), although we were not eligible to play soccer, because of COVID-19, I was named Athlete of The Year, in arguably the most athletically talented school in Sudbury, Ontario. I have also recently attended the First Touch Football Combine which showcases the best players in Canada! I was named MOTM in one of my games and was later awarded #72 in all of Canada for their player rankings! Not only am I a determined athlete, but I also excel in academics as well. I am currently enrolled in 4 advanced placement classes and 4 academic classes. The advanced placement classes in which I am enrolled are English, 11th and 12th-grade Advanced Functions, and Physics. While enrolling in these classes, I maintain a 4.0 GPA and/or a 93% average. I have also been elected as the Student Council President of St. Charles College, where I currently attend high school. Another bonus as a student-athlete is that I qualify as an American Citizen and a Canadian Citizen. Therefore, I have dual citizenship.
