Daniel Kaiko '26 Recruiting Profile

Since I was 6, I always managed to be successful in both education and a highly competitive sports environment. I knew that soccer would be a massive part of my life, yet playing soccer while at a university would become a dream of mine! To be at an American school has been a major goal for my educational pursuit. The prestige, education, and competitive environment makes it perfect for a student like me. Away from the field and in the classroom, I am a hard-working and knowledgeable student who always tries to find solutions. The high marks that I receive justify the type of student I am. I was nominated for valedictorian in my elementary school and have been an honour roll student throughout elementary and high school. In addition to my efforts in the classroom, I always find ways to give back to my community by volunteering in kid sporting events and local community events. 

       On the other hand, Soccer is a huge part of my life. I play at the highest level in Canada under the Toronto FC Academy as a centre-back. Playing against the top MLS academies in the MLS NEXT league. Playing as a Center-back comes with many responsibilities and leadership roles. I am a leader who likes to take control of the back line and give purposeful information to my teammates. The person I am on and off the field helped me achieve a spot in the U15 Canada national team shortlist and play U16 TEAM CANADA for a tournament in Israel in 2022. 

    In conclusion, I would love to find a school where I can receive a great education and have the ability to play my favourite sport.
