From starting my soccer career at the age of 4, I knew early in my life that my soccer dreams were to play at the collegiate or professional level. I am a very dedicated and hard working athlete as well as student, with a constant goal to perform at my peak, academically and athletically. I grew up playing soccer and hockey, but quit hockey at the age of 11, knowing my true passion was soccer and wanting to dedicate myself 100% to my soccer dream. I am a very responsible student, always handing in assignments on time and completing homework.
On the pitch, I am always responsible and disciplined, only ever receiving one yellow card in my 7 year career of travel soccer. In the u13 season, I was named captain of my Niagara Falls Titans A soccer team, and have remained captain for the past 3 years. I am always making sure my fellow teammates are focused, game-ready and in the right mindset to go out and compete every game, as well as helping them with other issues off of the field.
In September 2015, my team had made it to the finals of the Ontario Cup, the most prestigious youth soccer tournament in all of Canada. It began three months earlier in the group phase in June. We lost in the final 2-1 to a side who eventually finished 2nd in the National Championship. I scored a goal late in the match and it was credited with the highlight of the game. Away from my own club and high school soccer, I give back to my community by volunteering as a soccer coach for a u6-8 league every Thursday in the winter. I have coached the kids for two years now in this league, and I enjoy sharing my soccer knowledge with them and passing down things I have learned in my career so they may be the best soccer player they can.
My personal overall goal is to play soccer at the highest collegiate level possible, and I am working daily to achieve this through academics, athletics and personal training. I strive to push myself in the classroom and on the field, and am open to any college or university.
