I have always had a passion for soccer. Ever since I could remember, I watched soccer games with my grandpa who instilled in me his vast knowledge and the various technicalities of the game. Having such experience has given me a natural understanding of the game. I’d say I’m a very technically gifted individual when it comes to soccer.
I play like a real number “10”, in terms of my passing accuracy, agility when it comes to dribbling, higher knowledge of the game, keen awareness of the entire field, my ability to visualize my passes, set pieces and corners are what differentiate me from other players.
Being an assistant coach has taught me a completely different outlook on playing the game and how it works. I have learned different personalities, how to read the game differently and different playstyles and how to adapt to countless situations.
I was promoted to team captain 2 years ago and welcomed the opportunity with open arms, being the captain has taught me a lot about myself as an individual as well as an athlete, it has helped me to:
Being the team captain comes with a lot of responsibilities and I believe I have excelled in my duties; I strive to be a positive role model. I show up to every practice, game and team discussion with a positive attitude. I have learned the incredible power of being adaptable, I have gained the trust of my teammates and coaches and they know that they can always count on my discretion. I am a great leader who motivates my teammates and bring the best out of them. I study and learn everyone’s strengths and strategies along with my coaches on how to best utilize the various talents.
