Hello. My name is Giancarlo Godor-Evangelista and I have been playing soccer since I could walk.
I would like to play for my national team of Canada and become a professional player at the highest level possible. I have an interest in becoming a Veterinarian or an Athletic Therapist.
I started out playing house league for my local club, the North York Hearts and graduated to play with their competitive School of Excellence. I was promoted to play a year up and won back-to-back, team MVP awards. In 2018, I was named to the Toronto FC Academy Pool and then to the 2019, TFC Academy U13 squad.
In 2020 I joined Toronto High Park FC's OPDL team. COVID caused our club to shutdown, but I continued training both on my own and privately. I was recently selected as the team MVP and for the Ontario Provincial Xcel Program. I will also be a counsellor-in-training for a local soccer camp this summer.
I am a huge fan of Lionel Messi and Alphonso Davies, and support the Canadian National Teams, Barcelona, Man United and Toronto FC.
I believe that I would be a good addition for a team, because I am coachable, respectful and work extremely hard for my teammates. As my roles models, Messi and Davies, I believe that being a good person that is humble, hard working and serious, will make me a good candidate. I apply myself academically, as I do with my training. I am able to shake off any lows that I face and turn them into goal-setting.
Thank-you.
