Above all else I see myself as a soccer player, and while I am a successful student my goal is to play soccer at the highest level possible. Although my primary position is as a winger, I can play multiple positions because of my speed, power and tactical understanding of the game. Being a soccer player isn't just about the position you play it's also about your role within the team. I have had experience being a leader on the field by leading drills and helping players when they are struggling. When playing I always try to keep a positive attitude and lead by example because I know from experience how it's benefits me. I welcome constructive criticism from both teammates and coaches and share in the responsibility of setting and cleaning up the field. I am a unique candidate as a recruit as both a student and athlete as my top priorities are playing soccer at an elite level while at the same time gaining a solid education. I am not necessarily interested in the social aspects that comes with attending college but instead would devote my time to learning and continuing to grow as a soccer player. I believe that hard work gets results and I look forward to the opportunity to challenge myself at the college level both academically and athletically. I also understand the financial commitments that come with attending a school outside of Canada, which will further motivate me to take full advantage of this opportunity. This is why I feel I would make a great addition to any college and their soccer team.
