Shay Gillen '22 Recruiting Profile

My goal is to play college soccer.  I have a strong love of the game and am always striving to be a better player.  I am comfortable on the ball and feel my technical ability is one of my strengths.   I am willing to play in any position to help the team. 

I am very fortunate to be part of a great club in Lehigh Valley United.  I have received excellent training and played against top competition.  I started with LVU at age of 9 and have always traveled 75 miles to the club.  I played in the Development Academy and now my team plays in the highest EDP league.

On the high school level I am a 2 year starter(freshman and sophomore).  To help the team I have played a variety of positions over my first two seasons. 

The highlight of soccer carer to date is traveling to Madrid, Spain with LVU in the summer of 2016.  I was lucky enough to train at Real Madrid with one of their coaches. In addition I received training from a Spanish FA coach. I will never forget this opportunity.
