I have been playing soccer for my whole life and is a big part of my life. I have been able to experience playing in different settings such as high school soccer, club soccer, ODP, and even just playing for fun. All of these different opportunities have helped me develop into who I am as a soccer player today and how I will play soccer in the future.
As a soccer player, I have always excelled and have been most successful as an attacking central midfielder. I have played at many positions through my youth soccer career but central midfield, especially attacking central midfield, is my strongest position to play. Besides playing as an attacking central midfield I can also play as a central midfielder and as a defensive central midfielder.
I have always felt like I have been one of the leaders on all of my teams. I have always worked hard at practice and maybe even stay after a couple of times to work on some shots or other skills. I can be a good vocal leader and help my team by setting an example with my hard work at practice and in games.
Academics are also important along with soccer to achieve my goals. I know the chances for a full ride athletic scholarship are very slim, so having good grades and a good SAT score will help me get an academic scholarship along with, hopefully, an athletic scholarship. I will keep working hard in school to help me receive the education I want and to help me achieve my goals to attend a Division 1 University.
Besides soccer, I enjoy other activities in school and out of school. I participate in the vocal ensemble at my school and enjoy music. Additionally, I play high school basketball. I also have helped by volunteering at my church during many events.
