Philip Ohene Asante '20 Recruiting Profile

To whom it may concern,

Philip Ohene-Asante is my name and I write this to you, in hopes of positive and promising feedback to my email.

             In all my years since I have been born, and since I first kicked a ball, it has been my utmost dream to play soccer at an elite professional level and to be known for my talent and passion for the sport. I am Ghanaian by birth and American by nationality; and in my 21 years of life and since I started playing the sport, I have played for both my high schools(Soul Clinic International School in Accra, Ghana and Morrisville School District here in Morrisville Pennsylvania). Also, I have played for my own team, that I made, and with my players in that, we played in tournaments all round the city of Accra, Ghana. During my time in Ghana, i played for an academy team called ASTROS FC but unfortunately, the team did not have the privileges and opportunities I needed in order to further my dream as a professional soccer player. During my last season in Morrisville, I played as a number 10, and although my team did not make it to the play offs, I made it into the Penn Jersey All-Star Team and was the top scorer for my school. I am both left and right footed and my pace, strength, awareness and understanding of the game is what makes me a different kind of player. I have trained with the Philadelphia Union U18 and had been invited to join Rey De Espanyol in New Jersey after participating in their try out; but due to financial and transportation difficulties, I could not further that opportunity back in 2018. Since then, I have played for Bucks County Community College and with other smaller league  teams. I am currently studying Sports Management so I can peruse a coaching career aside playing and so if given this chance and opportunity to coach, I would give my 100% because this is what I want to do.  I am humble and ready to learn more and highly motivated to work harder and strive to reach the peak of my talent and ability to play, teach and coach the sport.

In the academic field, personally I am not really a school person. I love to be on the field playing because that is when I am truly happy and competitive. Although, sports is my passion, I do need a strong academic background because, we know not what may happen In the future. 

Soccer is my first love sport but I am a complete athlete. I am also very competitive in:
