Cody Vanbenthuyse...Personal Statement
I am a 5'11" Attacking Midfielder from Sayre, Pennsylvania and will graduate in 2021. I'm a 3-year varsity starter & a 2-year team captain. My top soccer awards include NTL All-Region Rookie Team, Newcomer of Fall, NTL All-Region First Team and Valley All-Star. I have ODP experience and 8 years of playing club soccer. My greatest attributes are my quickness, my vision and my ability to create chances for my teammates and myself.
I started running track to work on my speed and endurance. And I'm playing basketball to increase my quickness and defensive skills. I'm a three sport athlete for two reasons - build my strength and agility and support my small school.
Academics are extremely important to me. I'm a member of the National Honor Society and have a 4.0 GPA.
My goal is to take my soccer career to the next level and play collegiate soccer. I'm working on trying to find the perfect fit...a college for my major and a team who I can call family.
