I started playing soccer when I was four years old. I wasn’t one of the biggest kids on the field, but a former coach once told me – “The greatest player on the planet is only 5’-6” tall”. I used that as motivation and as I started developing new skills my excitement for the game continued to grow. I moved from intramural to rec-select to club to high level club soccer. I love playing this game.
I typically play as a forward. I feel like my strongest skills are my speed, quickness, ability to use both feet, and my movement and runs off the ball. I am proud of the fact that my left foot is almost as strong as my dominant right foot. I also work hard at pressing and trying to win the ball back. I also enjoy playing basketball in the Winter.
I want to attend a college where I can push myself in the classroom and on the field. At a young age I was diagnosed with ADHD. School has not always been easy for me, but with hard work and support I have been able to do well. Playing sports has always helped my ADHD because it forces me to focus as the game play is constantly moving. I would like to attend a college to study physical education or secondary education. I am open to all options and want to ultimately find the right college match at the highest level of competition possible. I am excited about what the future holds for me both on and off the field.
