I am a student athlete with a high level of dedication, drive, and potential. I am looking for a competitive program where I contribute and grow academically and athletically. I have worked hard in high school to earn a 4.1 GPA by challenging myself with honors and AP courses. I am very interested in science and have enrolled five different science courses offered at my high school so far. I hope to study science in college and eventually pursue a career in this area. I also enjoy music very much and have played the piano for about 10 years. I have been involved with the middle and high school band playing the saxophone and learned to play the guitar during the pandemic. I am in my fourth year of studying German and hope to travel to Europe in the future to experience the history, culture, and soccer there.
I have learned to manage my time with a busy schedule that includes school, sports, friends, and working for a local school district. I help to maintain the athletic fields in the summer months and work part-time on custodial crew during the school-year. This has helped me gain skills and responsibility. It has been helpful to earn money to buy the things that I want and need to become more independent.
I have become a leader on the soccer field in my position as goalkeeper. I earned a starting spot as keeper on my high school varsity team in my freshman year and played all of every game since then. My team finished as state semi-finalists in the 2020-20212 season and competed in district play-offs in 2021-2022. This year I was voted a team captain and recently selected as first team all conference after being second team last year as a sophomore. I was also selected for the Olympic Development Team and competed with that program in past years. I typically play on two club teams because I am also highly competitive as a field player. I have been both the highest scoring player on club team and also the keeper who lets in very few goals. This has allowed me to develop excellent foot skills and versatility. I can distribute the ball very well as a a keeper and field player. Teams often ask me to play with them at a very high level because of my experience talent, and maturity. I love watching and playing soccer to learn.
