My name is Juan Suárez. I was born in Venezuela, raised in Puerto Rico, and currently studying at Coe College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. I graduated high school in May 2021 and I studied my first year of college at the University of Puerto Rico – Mayaguez, where I was part of the men's soccer team, which finished second in the LAI (national college league of Puerto Rico) that year (2021-2022). I was also a starter in my previous club, Puerto Rico Sol, where we finished 2nd in Liga PR (Professional league of Puerto Rico) and lost by penalties at the semifinals (2021) and reached the finals the next year.
About me as a player, I currently play as an winger and attacking midfielder; I also played many games and contributed as a striker. I consider myself a good passer, fast, agile; but what makes me stand out from other players is my mindset on and off the field. I always try to grow the chemistry between me and my teammates and motivate them even when I am outside of the field. I am always looking to connect and involve my teammates on the field and I would make an assist before scoring a goal. I can adapt to any position and do the hard work it takes to compete at the highest level.
About me as a student, I have been in Honor Roll since first grade till graduation. I studied my 9th Grade in Costa Rica, graduated from middle school being the best student and highest grade of my class. I graduated high school with a 3.94 GPA, being the man with highest grade and the 4th best average between 45 students in my class. I finished my first year of college averaging a 3.4 GPA. I currently average a 3.5 GPA.
