I have been playing soccer since I was five years old, and I always had fun playing, but it wasn't until my sixth grade year when I was competing in the South Carolina State Final for my club that I was truly interested in improving and wanting to play at the next level. After working hard for a few years, I made my way up to captain of my club team. This is when I learned what it takes to be a leader and the amount of commitment you must have to continue getting better. While in high school and in college, I hope to maintain a good balance between athletics and academics. Due to the current pandemic, my spring season was cancelled, and my fall season might be too, but this has not stopped me from continuing to go out everyday and improve for the next time I can play.
