My name is Nithin Perumal and I am a goalkeeper of the class of 2024. Besides Brookings High School, I am also playing on South Dakota United, Sodak Spurs, and I am a member of the 2006 Midwest region ODP pool. I first fell in love with this beautiful sport when I was 11 years old. It was my first time ever playing goalkeeper and my team was in the semi final game. I was playing good and I was making lots of good saves. However, in the last minute I conceded a goal and we lost the game 1-0. I was so disappointed. in myself and in that moment I decided that I was going to become the best goalkeeper I could be. Since then I fell in love with constantly wanting to improve and be better. I fell in love with training at the pitch, going out on my own and having sessions with a buddy, lifting weights and taking care of my body. This is why in college I want to study exercise science. Over the last few years in which I have been training my body to improve my abilities as a soccer player, I also fell in love with fitness. I fell in love with lifting weights, plyometrics, and fueling my body with the proper nutrients. Every week I started to help out at my local club by attending the younger age groups practices. I enjoy helping the kids and pushing them to improve. I have built a good relationship with the kids and I love working with them. If you let me be a part of your program you will gain a hardworking, passionate player that will give 100 percent effort day in and day out.
