Lucas Giolo '22 Recruiting Profile

A defining moment in my soccer journey was wining the 2017 Tennessee State Cup with my club, the Germantown Legends. I loved the feeling of accomplishment and the payoff for my dedication and teamwork. Feeling on top of the world, we headed to Regionals a few months later. To everyone’s surprise, we barely got out of the group stage and then lost our first game in the knock-out stage. In hindsight, this poor performance was a blessing in disguise, because it showed me and my teammates how much better we had to be in order to compete at the regional and national levels. We worked harder than ever after that and, a year later, reached the semi-finals of the regional championship, losing to the eventual champions. At the state level, we continued to dominate, winning the Tennessee State Cup four times in a row! 

My aspirations have gotten increasingly bigger. I want to play soccer in college and would love to play professionally. I am confident my work ethic, athleticism and passion for the sport will make me a great player in any team at the collegiate level.
