I have been playing soccer since I was 4 years old. At the age of 11, I knew that I wanted to play soccer at the collegiate level. Playing in college is a once in a life time experience and I plan to do it. I'm ready to be recruited now and am playing for two top level teams this fall of 2020. My NUSA 02 Maroon team just went undefeated in Tennessee State League and I am a starting center back. We also just won the U19 D1 Tennessee State Championship with zero goals scored in three games. More of my soccer history is detailed below.
I have played club soccer since 2009. I always played on the top team for my age group at Tennessee United Soccer Club. I played in the Regional Premier League with this club. I have also played up a year. In my freshman year at Beech High School (2018), I was the only freshman varsity player. I received a letter, had a hat trick, and scored 5 goals that season.
In my sophomore year (2019), I played center back and was more comfortable in this defensive position. As we went through the district and regional tournaments, I had to play an important role as the center back in a 3 back line. We were not scored on for 4 straight games and won district, sectional, and regional titles for the first time in school history. I was named an all-district 9-AA tournament player, an all-region 5-AA tournament player and selected to the second all-county team (Sumner).
My junior year of high school soccer was cut short due to the coronavirus. I have not yet played my senior year of high school soccer (TN high school boys play in the Spring), but club season is going very well. I recently transferred clubs from Tennessee United Soccer Club to NUSA and I play on the NUSA 02 Maroon team. We just completed Tennessee State League and went undefeated, leaving us as second seed in the upcoming state tournament. My NUSA team is also in the Mid South Regional League and was accepted to the National League this week. We will play in a National League tournament in January of 2021 in Sarasota, Florida. I am also a member of Darlington Soccer Academy in Rome, Georgia and we won the last tournament I played with them.
I am very calm on the ball. I rarely panic and I am always looking for a high percentage pass. I am very coachable and I strive to be the best at whatever position I am playing. I have to work hard to maintain my GPA and this translates over to my soccer abilities. I also work hard to keep myself in shape. I want to be a college athlete because I want to play at a higher level. Soccer at the college level will improve me as a person which is a goal of mine. I hope to become the best person and athlete I can be while also making my parents proud.
