I have played softball and basketball all my life. The track coach kept asking me to try throwing for the track team. This year I decided to try throwing shot put and disk. I fell in love with the sport. I learned all I could from YouTube on how to throw. I am looking to get training during the summer and be a better thrower next year. I was selected to the All Sumner County Track and Field team. I won the District 9 AAA Shot Put with a throw of 31-11 and came in 4th in the TSSAA Large Schools Section 3-North Subsectional meet. I know I can throw farther and will be working hard this summer to do that. I am looking to go to college and major in sports medicine/exercise science and then get my Physician Assistant degree. I want to work with athletes who are injured and help to get them better.
