Leyton Preston '25 Recruiting Profile

My name is Leyton Preston and I am a Junior at L&N STEM Academy in Knoxville, Tennessee. I have played soccer for almost 10 years at many different team levels. I am unlike other athletes due to my mentality and knowledge of the game. I use these things to make up for my size differential by thinking ahead, knowing what to do with and without the ball, and deciding where the ball needs to go. Along with being athletic-focused, I am also focused on my academics.  I try hard in all of my classes and manage to balance school, soccer, and rowing all at once. Currently, I am taking 4 AP classes, 1 honors class, 2 Dual Enrollment classes, and 1 regular class. As a person, I am determined to be my best by constantly pushing myself, and keeping myself focused on what is essential at the time. Some of my goals for college would be to attend a Division 1 or 2 school to play soccer while attending classes that allow me to get a degree in Sports Analytics or Statistics. I strive to be a part of a team whether that be as a starter or as a substitute, I push to play soccer on a collegiate level and then continue playing at levels beyond that.
