As my freshman soccer season progressed, our soccer team faced a devastating season with more than half of our matches resulting in a loss. However, I believe such an experience pushed me to become a better athlete as I used the negativity of a losing season to work on my ball control and goal finishing to better improve my chances of scoring goals. This paid off during my sophomore and junior years as I became the team-leading scorer and made all-district selections the 1st team striker.
I was able to be part of a team that despite the disadvantages was able to walk on to the playoffs my sophomore and junior year. Throughout each season, I learned the significance of leadership on and off the field, delayed gratification, unity, and determination allowing me to be effective inside the field. I am on the search for a program that will challenge me not only athletically but also academically while simultaneously matching my preferences. I am convinced I have the potential and character that it takes to transform, innovate, and adapt to any team and meet the standards of a college-level soccer program. As a two-sport, balanced student-athlete, I am confident I have the skill, the mindset, and the discipline to stand out and promote victory in your team.
