I have always loved playing soccer. I mean, truly loved it; whether it is in training, in a game, in a tournament, or in a Sunday pick up game at my local park. I aspire to become a professional player in the game. I am lucky because both of my parents were world class athletes so I inherited natural athletic ability including speed and strength (I am particularly known for my raw speed and vertical jump height; I had some of the best athletic testing results at a Manchester City training camp in Manchester UK in 2017 out of all players ages 12-18). I have played competitively in both the EU (Italy, Denmark, Norway) and the UK. One of my latest (October 2022) full game films can be found here:

In November, 2018 I was the winner of the 2018 ESPN Cup Challenge Coin for Leadership, Character& Sportsmanship at the Adidas Sam Shannon Showcase in Tulsa, OK. I think what speaks most about this award is that it was given to me by the coach of the opposite team. I am just as proud of this character award as I am of the many tournament trophies and medals I have won over my decade of playing youth soccer. with various teams and teammates. I was awarded Most Valuable Defensive Player by my teammates and coaches for my 2021 Reedy High season. I am proud to know my peers respect me at this level. I was also just voted to the ECNL All Regional League, which is very humbling as well.
I am not quite sure yet what academic subject I want to pursue in college. I love history and science, especially aeronautical science. I finished my sophomore and junior years with a 3.7 GPA and was inducted into the National Society of High School Scholars in 2021. I decided to take a gap year after graduating in May 2023 so that I may pursue playing for the Antigua and Barbuda national team (CONCACAF league); my father is from there and I am becoming a dual citizen to play. I will also play ECNL U19 for Dallas Texans this fall and perhaps USL in the Winter here in Dallas.
Yours Respectfully,
Jayden Messiah
