Jackson Bourne vs...Personal Statement
Wrestling in college has been a dream of mine since I was a young boy. My goal is to continue my education and wrestling career with a school that offers me the ability to pursue a degree in Science that will position me for a career in physical therapy or nutrition. I’m looking for a university that will prepare me to be a positive influence and make lifelong contributions to society. I’d also like to find a school that will provide student-athletes with excellent opportunities to compete and win at the highest levels.
I am fortunate to have been coached by Olympic medalists, wrestling Hall of Fame inductees, and many legends in our great sport. My coaches have always told me to dream big, and I can accomplish big things if I set my mind to it. I am devoted and determined to be an athlete who works hard to be the best I can be. I will strive to be an impactful asset to my wrestling program. Most importantly, I will conduct myself with honor and respect on and off the mat. I understand the way I carry myself reflects my team, my coaches, and the school I attend.
