Ryan Okerayi '23 Recruiting Profile

I started playing soccer at the age of 4 in Ireland and I quickly became very passionate about the sport. I never missed practice and games days could not come fast enough. No matter how cold the weather got, I was always on the field.

I have always been one of the fastest, strongest, hardworking and smartest players on the field. I play very well as a right wing or left wing forward and also as a striker. I prepare mentally and physically for any game so I get to the field ready to work. I quickly adapt in very challenging situations and my height, speed and quick thinking give me an advantage. I am a selfless player with the success of the team as my priority and I love to create scoring opportunities.

I was the only freshman playing on my High School soccer varsity team and I played as a starting right winger, scoring goals against very tough teams. In my sophomore year, I played mainly as the striker and also on either right or left wing. I scored the most goals on the varsity team and gave the most assists. I was named the District 16-6A Offensive Player of the Year and was also named in the 1st team All District and 1st team All Region.

In club, I played as the striker and right winger and scored the most goals on my team to win the u17 National Frontier Conference and participated in the 2021 Dallas Cup. 

I am looking forward to attending a college with a reputation in academic excellence and outstanding soccer achievements.
