My name is David Yearwood and I am currently a sophomore playing at Blinn college. I am a hard working student-athlete and I want to improve my skills on and off the field. I know the meaning of hard work both in the classroom and on the field. I have played both high school soccer and club soccer for past three years. Juggling both practices and homework was often a challenge. I think that these experiences have better prepared me to be a student-athlete in college. I am interested in studying business in college. I love sports and would like the opportunity to explore a field in business and sports.
I love soccer! In my freshman year4l high school at St. Pius X High School, I played on the junior varsity team. My coach told me that I needed to get more experience on the soccer field so I joined the Rise Soccer Club. This had me playing year round and allowed me to get experience with different coaching styles and playing on different teams. I am a team player and have always valued the advice my coaches have given me. I feel that playing soccer is part of who I am. I love the competition and camaraderie with my fellow teammates. Although my school team struggled this year, I still feel that I benefited from the lessons I learned being part of this team. I am a hard worker. I am loyal and can be trusted to do my job to the best of my ability. I am the goalie and take that responsibility very seriously. I know if given the opportunity that I will not disappoint you. Please come watch me play. You will not be disappointed.
