The highlight of my soccer career was winning 2nd in the National’s President Cup in an older age group. When I was younger I dreamed about being the best in the world and getting the chance to win a National Cup inspired me. Coming from a small city like Harlingen, Texas made it a lot more difficult. Just to travel we had to sell water and plates to raise money. What united us was the dream to once be the best in the nation and we finally had the chance. Once winning state, we realized that we were getting closer to our dream. Then we won regionals and in the final we met our match and battled to the end.
Coming back from National’s we went straight to work. We learned that being the best means to give it 100% on every play, play as a team and be a leader when things don’t go well. Even though I wasn’t captain of the team the team counted on me to be there for them to keep their heads up when we were losing, to finish until the final whistle. This year we plan to go again and win 1st place!
I am looking for a program that will fit me athletically and academically. I believe that I have the talent and character to play in your college team. As a player that will leave his heart and blood on the field. I also have what it takes to be a leader on your team.
