My name is Ethan Gilbert and I am a 6'5" goalkeeper in the class of 2023. I have participated in an international youth competition at the 2019 FC Barcelona Youth World Cup in Barcelona, Spain, won the 2019 Texas State Cup, reached the semi-final match of the 2019 US Youth Soccer South Regional Championship and competed in the 2019 ENPL National Playoff. All of these competitions were great experiences and helped me both as a player and as a teammate.
I consider myself a traditional style keeper whose strengths are positioning, leadership, size and catching ability. My goal is to play soccer at a competitive university that will also allow the opportunity to study Engineering. My current course work includes AP and pre-AP classes and I understand the importance of grades and how they can help setup a pathway for the future.
I pride myself in being a hard worker at games, in practice and in the classroom. It is also important to listen to coaches and their feedback so they can help me develop into a better person and player.
