Coach,
I am a firm believer in setting goals for myself. Throughout my academic and athletic career I have set some compelling personal goals. Maintaining a 4.0 GPA, and finishing in the top 5% of my class each year are just a few of the academic goals. Working harder than I think I can, being the best teammate, and scoring A LOT of goals, are some of the athletic benchmarks. I am also aware of the necessity of setting longer-term goals. Attending college, being part of a team of like minded players and experiencing the thrill of competing at the collegiate level are just a few I have set for myself.
I believe that my tangible stats will show you that I have been able to achieve consistently high results both academically and athletically. I hope that you will give me the opportunity to show that my intangibles are an even better attribute that I possess. I feel that my skillset would be an advantage on any team looking to progress to the next level.
Thank you for your consideration.
