I love to play soccer. I’ve been interested in it, since I was 3 my parents say. Soccer for me has always been a motivation in my life. My one and only goal, is to be better than I was the day before, always, always, always improving. In third grade I had the opportunity of playing for Rage, I made the top team, and was competing for playing time among the best in the program. This moment, along with others throughout my life, have taught me the value of working hard and wanting to commit to become great. I have been on premier teams that have lost every game of the season, and the struggle for me there was to want to keep playing, and to be able to keep working hard. My dad pulled me aside after one of my games, and said, “Don’t let the game affect you, you effect the game.” This one statement that has stayed with me throughout the years has taught me that for me, I will always try to improve, no matter the circumstances. I feel like what makes me different than other players, is my adaptability. I can play anywhere on the field, except goalie, and I’m always willing to play to get minutes. I would love to be apart of any program and prove that I should be there.
On August 5, 2020, I broke my fibula playing against Avalanche in the first group stage game of Sparta Cup. I had to go through surgery and was out of commission for 6 months. I was able to make a full recovery and be able to play and start for Westlake, my senior year of play. I have learned through this experience, that life and futbol is precious, because you never know when it will be taken from you. Your life can change drastically in a singlular day so it's always important to always work hard and have no regrets at the end of the day. If I were to play for you, I would push my team to be their best selves, and to make sure they can go home satisfied at the end of the day, ready for tomorrow.
Academically, I try my best to get good grades. My goal in school is to always be the smartest in the room, competing to get the best test score. I would like to get into a good college with a good medical program, while being able to do the thing I love most, which is to play soccer at the college level. Thank you for your time reading this statement, I hope to hear from any who are interested in me.
