To prospective coaches:
My name is Ethan Wright. I love soccer and hope to continue playing soccer through my college education. My priorities in life are first family, then education, and the soccer. I have a drive to succeed and do so by working hard.
I played competitive soccer with Razzia FC for six years and played most of that time as a defense and defensive mid player. I also played for my middle school soccer team, American International School of Utah, in sixth and seventh grades. In eighth grade, I was one of two eighth graders that made the high school team where we went to the State Charter School finals finishing second. Ninth grade, played with the high school team as a goalie and again went to the State Charter School finals finishing second. We were undefeated for the season until the final game. That school closed down in 2019 which is when I moved to Taylorsville High School for tenth grade. I made the varsity team as a goalie but then COVID hit 3 games in.
My current club team is Red Hotz FC with Brett Davis as my coach. I have enjoyed being challenged and working with a new team learning and growing.
My education has always been important to me. I have worked hard at keeping my grades up and have maintained a 4.0 GPA. I have a love for engineering and creating things as well as a love for astronomy. My dreams and goals for the future is to get into a good engineering school and become an Aerospace engineer. I would ultimately love to work for NASA.
Besides my family and my education my faith plays a big part of my life. I am an active member of my church as well as the youth program that they have. I have held leadership positions and have served on other youth committees. I have participated in the Boy Scouts of America program for the last 4 years. I continually participate in goal making and an achieving program where we focus on four areas. Spiritual, intellectual, physical, and social. I continually strive to be better in all areas of my life.
I thank you for taking the time to read my introduction and I welcome any questions you may have. I look forward to my future and the ways soccer can be a part of it.
Sincerely,
Ethan Wright
