Evan Bauer '21 Recruiting Profile

My name is Evan Bauer. I am hard working, and fight for every opportunity I can get. I am a straight A student at Battlefield High School located in Haymarket, Virginia. I play soccer because it is my passion and I love the challenge of competition. Soccer also gives me a chance to show my determination to compete and win. I play for Virginia Soccer Association(VSA). and play for my high school team each spring. These teams are both located in Northern Virginia. My goal is to attend a college that will help me grow as a person, continue playing the game I love, and help me prepare to succeed in life.

Through all my hard work, I have had some great opportunities in my soccer career. I have been invited to three US soccer training centers. Also, I made the Virginia ODP state team two years in a row and attended the regional camp. I am currently team captain for my club team. MY club team qualified for the NPL National Finals (June 2019) this summer and I also had the opportunity to play some international friendlies in Barcelona in March 2018. It was a great experience and it showed me what soccer is like in another country.

I really enjoy school because I can learn new things and talk with my friends every day. I have a 4.0 GPA. My favorite subjects are math and science. I work hard in school and make sure to study every night. I work well with others but I am can also work well alone. I am a natural born leader in school and participate in class as much as I can.

I also enjoy volunteering and have helped with TOPSoccer since I was nine years old. TOPSoccer is an organization that helps kids with disabilities learn to play soccer. In 2017, I earned Volunteer of the Year along with 5 other volunteers.
