I'm a highly skilled, fast, attacking midfielder with excellent foot skills, great passing touch, and a strong leg. I also play CDM, CM, wing/forward as game situations dictate. At 6'0" and 154 lbs. I bring size and physicality to the midfield; I've added ten pounds of muscle since last season in a five-day per week weight lifting program.
I believe I'm the best passing midfielder in the region, and one of the best in the state of Virginia. I led my varsity team in assists during my Sophomore year, and I was near the top ranked passer in Virginia my junior year As our team finished the season 17-1-0. I regularly led my Nelson Express and my varsity team in assists. By the end of my career at Nelson County High School, I will have been a four-year varsity starter in the midfield, and I'll have played twenty seasons (fall/spring) of travel soccer for the Nelson Express Travel Soccer Club with appearances at tournaments across the mid-Atlantic.
I'm a highly coachable leader and culture builder; I've been selected (and currently am) Captain for both my Nelson Express travel team and Nelson County Varsity Soccer teams. I lead by example in practices and games and work to bring a positive and calm voice on the field. Effort matters to me, and you won't find someone that works harder in practice, drills and supplementary activities.
Academically, I'll bring a consistent track-record of excellence to your team. I've maintained an A average since I received my first report card. Through high school I've maintained a 4.8 weighted GPA (on a 4 point scale) due to my honors/AP/and college-level courses. Academics will be an important part of my decision process in selecting a school. I was accepted and I'm enrolled in the academically rigorous Blue Ridge Virginia Governors School. I was inducted in the National Honors Society in Fall 2023. I'll graduate near the very top of my class and will likely rank in the top 2 - 4 in the senior class of 2025.
I am a three-sport varsity athlete and I can literally run all day which serves me well in the midfield; I don't tire in practice or in games and I wear down opposing midfielders. As a sophomore last fall, I was selected for the All-Region Cross Country team and I'll qualify for the All-State team this fall. This cross training allows me to play the full game for all of my travel and varsity soccer games without rest. As a Sophomore and Junior, I was the starting point guard on the varsity basketball team and was named Honorable Mention on the All-District team. I intend to play soccer in college but basketball and cross country have helped shape me into the soccer player I am today.
