Personal Statement

I’ve always loved playing sports. From an early age, I was involved in playing sports like basketball, football, baseball and soccer. As I matured, I realized that soccer was the sport that I enjoyed the most and was the sport I committed to. My competitive nature, the dedication to practices, as well as athletic abilities landed me on a spot on a competitive travel team in Culpeper, VA. This team enabled me to evolve as a player; not just improving the fundamentals skills of soccer, but also teaching me the importance of leadership and teamwork. This year, I was given the opportunity to join the high school varsity soccer team playing as the only freshman on the team. I was able to utilize the skills that I had learned from my competitive travel soccer team to contribute to my high school team by playing a variety of positions such as forward, wing, center mid and left outside defender. I’ve been told that some of my strongest assets are speed, agility, foot skills, and teamwork. My goals for after high school is to obtain a bachelor's degree and to continue to develop as a soccer play by playing for a competitive college team. In addition, in an effort to further expand my leadership skills, I intend to participate in a ROTC program with the objective of serving my country. Soccer has always been more than just a sport to me; The second I scored my first goal, I knew soccer would be a major part of my life. I am a quick, versatile player and can play multiple positions. I take pride in my hard work and dedication on and off the field.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
