Growing up soccer and track were my main sports and although I excelled in both of them, I decided to give up the track to focus on soccer. A lot of people just want to become a professional soccer player for the lifestyle but I just have pure love for the game. Before I came to Oak Hill Academy, I injured myself participating in the high jump, and after my surgery, my parents and my doctor thought I should give up sports but i couldn't let that happen. The only way I could play again was if I worked hard every day to get back out there on the field, and that is exactly what i did. That is the kind of person I am, hardworking, focused, strong-willed and that's not just on the field. Since I arrived at Oak hill I have maintained a 4.0 GPA and was awarded the A honor roll award in my junior year. I've also held several leadership roles during my time here and I would say I handled them fairly well. I would say my ability to stay focused on and off the field separates me from other athletes and my hunger to train and play for my team every day.
