Lucas Bassetti '25 Recruiting Profile

Hi, my name is Lucas Bassetti, and I am a 17-year-old 12th grade student attending New Kent High school. I have been a goalkeeper since I was 6 years old. I am currently playing for New Kent Cosmos sc, located in New Kent, Virginia. Starting off with my 8th grade year, I became a junior varsity (JV) starting goalkeeper. During Freshman year, not only was I the starting JV goalkeeper, but I was given the opportunity to play up for our Varsity soccer team when their starter got injured, which almost resulted in us heading to states. For sophomore year, I was awarded the opportunity to play starting goalkeeper for our Varsity soccer team just coming shy of making it to the state tournament. As a junior, I was awarded All Region 3A Honorable Mention being 1 of 5 on my team to receive an any award for the season. As for my academics, I have continuously throughout Highschool held a GPA of 3.70 or higher even when taking DE college credited courses. Currently my GPA is 3.75 with the chance to increase to 3.80. Finally, my main collegiate goal would be to graduate with a 4.0 or greater GPA, furthering my education with a bachelors degree in Criminal Justice; with the aspiration to be a top contending collegiate goalkeeper and having the opportunity of playing professionally.
