I am currently a senior at Portsmouth Christian School. This is my first year playing varsity level soccer, and I am the starting goalkeeper as well as one of the captains. My soccer journey began at 14, when I joined the JV soccer team for my school where I played 2 years. Last year, my junior year, I returned to playing football as I had in middle school to give it one last shot. Ultimately I decided soccer was the sport for me, as that is the sport I am now playing. As a goalkeeper I believe it is my responsibility to send the other team home with nothing but a 0 on the scoreboard. Every game I strive to accomplish this. I understand that I am relatively new and somehwhat inexperienced still, but I assure any coaches that I will stop at nothing to keep the opposing team's score at 0. My love for winning is only beaten by my love for my Lord and savior Jesus Christ and one other thing, my hatred for losing. Every time I am scored on is a loss all to itself. I am also successful in academics with a 4.4/4.0 weighted GPA. I seek to do everything to my best ability, especially improving my skills at soccer. My goal is to take soccer with me as far as I can, and I do not want to give it up anytime soon. This Spring I plan to further improve my game by playing with the Churchland Soccer League team. Having a spring season will not only help me to get better, but also prevent me from getting rusty over a prolonged offseason, so that I can be at my best this fall. In the end, I just want to be able to be able to continue playing soccer throughout my time at college. Any chances I'm given I will make the most of.
