My character is built upon team success and therefore my goals are not geared toward individual glory but the success of the team in terms of winning and building team chemistry and character. In this way I am not only focused on myself and my individual abilities but also focused on the team. If the team is successful then I am successful. If the team is not successful and I am successful then I count that as a failure. I believe that all athletes need to perform well in academic situations and academics should be viewed as a primary goal. A smart athlete is a good athlete.
