Personal Statement

Hello Coaches,

My name is Noah Bjornson. I am a 2023 Midfielder/ Forward with a 3.85 GPA currently attending Nathan Hale High School. I have been playing soccer since I could walk, and it has always been an incredibly important part of my life. I am a competitive athlete, and enjoy challenging and pushing myself to become better, as proven by winning back to back "most improved player" awards at my high school soccer team. Throughout my playing career, I have played many different positions. When I was younger, I played as a striker, but over time, due to my play-making skills and ability on the ball, I moved further back. Currently I play as a center-mid for my club team, but due to my speed and versatility, I play as an outside-back, center-mid, and winger for my school team. My strengths on the field include my speed, versatility, agility, passing, awareness, and leadership. An example of my leadership is taking all of the set-pieces for my club and school team, including corners from both sides, close range free-kicks, free-kicks from further back in wide and central areas, and stepping up to take penalties for my team.

I am interested in studying pre-med for my undergraduate, then going into medical school, with an intent to go into a profession related to Sports Medicine. I am looking for a college that can both fulfill my academic goals, setting me up for the future, and provide me with the opportunity to keep playing the sport that I love at the collegiate level.

Sincerely,
Noah Bjornson
