Roman Campos '23 Recruiting Profile

Hi, My name is Roman Campos. I was born on December 7, 2004, in Seattle, Washington, and play for Valencia CF Academy Seattle on their 2004/5 Team.  Because I am apart of this team, I get opportunities like no other player. I get training from the Valencia CF Youth Academy and get monitored on my progress by Valencia CF Academy coaches. I get to travel there to train with their youth team and play in matches against top professional youth academies from around the world. So as you can see, I don't just have experience in the United States, I also have experience in Europe.

I am a Central Attacking Midfielder who practices the possessive Spanish style of play. I play as an option in the middle to create opportunities to attack and keep possession of the ball. As a midfielder, I know where I am needed on the field, and I know my role as a midfielder. I like to drop into the appropriate space to receive the ball, and when I get the ball I distribute it to the place where there is the biggest attacking opportunity.

I am one of the most technical players on my team. I have trained 9 years in a technical training clinic called Coerver. Coerver is one of the best technical training clinics in the world and I have spent 9 years learning their best skills and techniques to beat players and then look for the right option on the field.

Academically, I go to one of the Best High Schools in the State of Washington. O'Dea High School. It is a college prep all-boys catholic private school. I am currently a junior and noticed that they have the best styles of teaching their students and preparing them for college. I currently have a 3.8 GPA. The school's athletics are on point as well, and we have a really good soccer team. We make the state competition every year and we are one of the best teams in our division, which is by far the best high school division in Washington. This high school team has had a really good player come out of there who has played all over Europe and now plays for Inter Miami in the MLS. He goes by the name of DeAndre Yedlin.
