My goal is to play soccer at an academically rigorous college, which would be the culmination of all the years I have spent playing the sport. Since I started with Lil' Kickers at the age of four, soccer has been my passion, and I played on both school and competitive teams throughout middle school and high school even as my family moved to different countries, from the US to Portugal, to England, to Luxembourg, and now back to the US again. Soccer has been a constant in my life, and I progressed in responsibility to team captain on my current team (Seattle Celtic). I am accustomed to facing new challenges and adapting to new schools and soccer teams, regardless of language or culture. I currently attend a challenging high school, balancing my school work with year-round participation in both soccer and futsal. I have always prioritized my studies and have worked to continually improve my grades. Balancing homework and practices is difficult, but for me neither is an excuse for not doing the other. My passion, commitment, and the results I deliver on and off the field set me apart.
