Caleb Gosney '23 Recruiting Profile

I was born into an athletic family. Both of my parents play high level softball. I grew up on the softball field and started playing baseball at a young age. I fell in love with soccer and asked my parents to sign me up. I started playing rec  league but quickly progressed to academy level play. I advanced in the academy and was asked to play up with the older boys to have more competition.   at thirteen I tried out and made the cut for the exclusive Portland timber’s academy. I had to decline due to my parents inability to get me to and from practice and long distance games I have learned a lot about myself. I love soccer and would want to be a professional one day. I have a deep understanding of the sport I am a leader on the field I am known for my long throw in and my speed
